OUR EXPERIENCE


The team at SIKANYE has a passion for corporate governance and believes that governing bodies can make or break organisations, hence they need a correct mindset and appropriate skills to deal with issues such as policy, compliance, strategy, risk management, transparency, accountability, and oversight. In this vein, SIKANYE’s professionals have facilitated and participated in countless corporate governance workshops with a view to developing good business leadership skills (especially at board level) and to assist board members better understand their role in organisations, thereby improving their effectiveness. We recognise the intrinsic interplay between corporate governance and organisational success.

In Botswana we work in association with AI Konsult, a private business advisory services firm based in Gaborone. AI Konsult is already building an unassailable footprint in the provision of integrated business advisory services, including Customer Experience Management (CXM), Marketing, Digital Transformation and Disruption, Data Analytics and Reporting, Performance Transformation, Business Transformation, Corporate Governance, and ESG & Integrated Reporting.

The executive director of SIKANYE has spent more than two decades in the boardroom as a managing director, corporate lawyer and board/company secretary. As a Chartered Marketer he served on two councils of the then South African Advertising Research Foundation (SAARF) as a representative of the Marketing Association of South Africa (MASA). In addition, he has worked with rural communities. For, instance, in 2011 he revised the Trust Deed and set up proper governance structures for a multi-million rand rural community trust in Nkomazi in the Mpumalanga Province. He further facilitated an induction process for both the trustees and the beneficiaries of the trust in order to enhance and heighten its proper functioning.
